^ This, especially considering the OP's obvious mental issues (a la his ranting about psych meds) and his social issues (a la his rant about humans not being social animals, which they assuredly are)......cannot imagine a psycho loner having or wanting any other human contact voluntarily, esp. with a female.

No, don't WANT to be master controller expecting others to "heed" me.
After all, they may see what I don't . Especially re: political interplay in some client's office. Man I hate that. It'd be death to my consulting income if I tried to come off as Mr. "HEED ME & WHAT I PONTIFICATE!!! !!!" Only an idiot would take that posture. NEVER ME!!!

However in reality If I see opportunity or a solution to some problem and they stupidly refuse to hear me, so be it. I've a case like that on my desk right now, where a company is doing something, their competitor was fined into the hundreds of millions of dollars for exactly that, but their president & operations staff refuse to hear my council to mitigate exposure to same.

After trying every communication strategy known to man, still you just flat can't "force" someone to behold the revelation that your higher point of view would be to them. It's more about helping people congeal into tribal identification & move TOGETHER upward toward a clear direction they see as THE SOLUTION or THE PROFIT or THE THING THAT'LL BRING BIGGEST BONUS or THE WHING BOSSYCOW WILL REWARD OR etc etc. (what's in it for me?)

Your sure fail in ANY domain (business, school, boy/girl, etc.) = the old 1940's theory X style of "you stand apart" from others expecting they'll heed you or what you say" That's a sure recipe to make everybody HATES YOU & think what you say is idiotic & cut your brake lines & poison your Pinot Noir.

Maybe he painted a face on his hand and named it Sally. He and Sally went to Subway (fine dining of course) and he then carried on a convo with "her".

I remember in Miami the guy was maybe 30, well over 6' tall, and blocking the door way to the gas station and telling people "give me money". I was pumping gas and saw him do that to several customers, then I went to pay. He saw me coming and got a scared look on his face and ran. Kept looking over his shoulder, wtf.

Had a homeless guy try to rob me in Tampa after I gave him my last $2 and showed him I had no more money. I told him he needed to leave the area and thank me for not taking his teeth. Seriously, why even mess with someone my size without a gun? They think I'd be afraid and just give them my car?
 
At work: I don't like repeating myself. I am almost always right. I figure out problems and come up with solutions very quickly. I expect people to listen to me yes.

Outside of work: I don't talk to people unless I have to, so yes, I expect them to listen to me.

Somebody is bothering me, I don't ignore them, I find a polite "fuck off" works better.
 
Life and AT have taught me that people rarely heed what they don't want to hear. I gave up any such expectations years ago.

Every once in a while, someone surprises me. That's my reward. 🙂

Not that big. At the time I was 6'2", 225#, and an avid weight lifter (one of the beach people). The homeless guy was much smaller, I think he had a friend near by and expected him to help. It's just there are much smaller targets, why pick someone like me?

I always give money to the homeless, if I have it. I always look out for them too. I guess I'm a sucker like that so, probably, that's why I was targeted. They assume your concern is weakness, not that you grew up f'd up and understand how a man might fall like that and want to help. As I age I may need to change.
