Do you ever try to explain things but can't get it out verbally?

At work here I have to talk to people all the time. Often times I call for help when I don't know something. When I start to explain the situation I sometimes either say things that are not needed, and then repeat myself and add words like "yeah, uh, ok,"

I sound like that lady in office space sometimes.

all the time. I have a lot of trouble sometimes communicating verbally, like I just can't think of a word or a phrase. Yet, when I'm writing, the words just flow without me even thinking. Sometimes, if it's important, I'll actually stop talking and write it out to see what I want to say. I'm weird like that.

Yep, I do that as well. I trace it back to when I was a child and had lots of trouble talking; I spent most of my time reading and writing, and so I think that's why it translates over.

I don't have trouble explaining things but sometimes things come out the wrong way. One night I was looking at a playboy at my friends house and decided it would be sweet to tell my wife thats what I find so great about her is that she is not perfect like these girls. I wanted it to sound like she was uniquely beautiful and way better than those women in the mag but things didn't go over like that. I still hear about it today.

Do you suffer from long-term memory loss?
