Do you ever think about what other people your age are doing?

So I'm 19 right now, which to me is pretty damn young..and I feel I'm headed on the right path in life so to speak..but when I look around there are people doing just so much more at my age, and even younger than me, than I'll probably ever do in my life. From actors/actresses, athletes going into professional leagues, and especially all those people in the armed forces killing others and putting their lives on the line..I look at them and it's like, they're my age, and they're doing things I don't think I could ever handle 5, 10, maybe even 20 years down the line. Makes me feel kind of worthless at times =/

Then of course I go here and my opinion is changed :)

Nope, people my age are losers... no offense everybody! :)

I'm 22, work fulltime and goto school fulltime. I make a nice paycheck and have been investing for quite a while. I plan on retiring by the time I'm 40 with a healthy investment portfolio that will keep me happy and confortable for the rest of my life with my wife and 2.5 kids.

:D

I'm 19 and I just walked out of my last class in college today. I have three years' experience as a technical recruiter, a year as a literary agent, and I do look around and wonder what the heck other people my age are doing. But I can watch and see. They're playing Halo and CS and they have this thing called "Spare time" that I barely recall having. I like the choices I made, and like where they've put me, but I'm not really under the illusion that I did anything special. I just was more willing to work my tail off to the exclusion of other things. Life is largely about choices.

It's all tradeoffs and choices, like HotChic says, and most of them are not "wrong" or "right" for everybody just for you.

I could have had more fun partying in college but went for the A's instead. The summa cum laude doesn't make me "better" than someone who partied non-stop, just more employable ;)

And I've read interviews with a number of actors, musicians, and other celebrities who've said they really wished they hadn't missed out on going to college. So some of those rich and/or famous celebrities envy you.

So relax, rent "Death Becomes Her," and follow Bruce Willis' example.

Congrats. How did you manage to do that?

Two years of community college during "high school years" and then 20-24 units a quarter for two years to get my double major at a university.

Wow HotChic, that's a lot of work. Congrats! I'm 21 and I also feel kind of worthless at times compared to others. I did it backwards. Bombed out at a university, changed major, now I'm going to much cheaper community college...

60% of em will be jacking off later in the night, including 70% of the earlier group.

30% of the total have already jacked off this afternoon.

and the rest of em got it done in the morning.

leaving me, sitting here, at my computer, alone, not jacking off... alone... alone...
