Do you ever notice BMW families?

Where the whole family has a fleet of bmw's?

My friends family likes there bmw's quite a bit;

BMW Alpina B7
BMW M5
BMW 535i
BMW 328i


I noticed another friend of mine, the entire family drives BMW's as well.

I have however yet to notice this trend with any other brand, have you?

A lot of brands are like this, there's Chevy or GM families(GTO, Silverado, Corvette)

Ford families, (Mustang GT, F150, Taurus, Windstar)

Toyota/Lexus families(Mine tend to follow this, Tercel, Camry, MR2, SC400, ES350)

Honda families(Civic, Accord, Integra), etc.

Brand loyalty isn't confined to only BMW.

Hell, I know a family who owns all Hyundais. Pretty well off folks, too, but their priority isn't cars, and they've been impressed by the value (incl. warranty service).

My fiancee's family has all japanese cars, does that count? They have 2 Infinitis, 1 Acura, and 1 Nissan. They owned a 7 series a while ago, and swore never to buy another BMW again. :laugh:

I know of a BMW family if you want to phrase it that way
it goes like this:
3 or 4 M3's? i don't even know and theres another racing one that isn't street legal.

M5

but then i guess they have a really nice Noble and a Ford GT they were working on...
Well, they like cars and racing and they have money. They drive the BMWs for everyday driving.

One of my friends family drives only fords. They have a Bullitt Stang, Taurus, F250 Harley, and new GT

When another company starts making cost-efficient, well-engineered, and engaging vehicles, my immediate family will be able to buy something other than Honda. There are non-Honda cars in the extended family, but they are all owned by people who are willing to give up one of the above criteria. Because their criteria are different, I'm sure they are happy with their cars. But to meet the above criteria, there's really only one brand choice in the current North American market.

Grouped by "family units," the cars go something like this:

It's pretty easy to see which family units are willing to give up which criteria for buying a car.

I have a Lexus, a Nissan and a Honda motorcycle. I don't really have any particular brand loyalties...so long as they aren't American, Korean or made by VW/Audi.

I'll give you used but leased?? No way. Thats like $500 a month minimum payment per car.

My uncle worked for Ford so everyone in the family had at least one Ford in the drive way until I ditched mine Saturday.

Not a big fan of Fords but $3000 off a $17,000 car was hard to beat.

Makes sense. Most people dont want/cant afford a german car out of warranty.

Early Audi A8s had widespread transmission problems, that's a $8000 replacement.

Yep, I know BMW families. The dad wears BMW hats, shirts, and jackets. He drives a new M5. Mom drives an X3. The daughter in college drives an old 1990 3-series.

The entire German car's aren't reliable and Japanese cars are is quickly becoming a myth. I only wish my car could be as reliable as a Nissan one day Jules, hahaha.

The money factor is often excellent on BMWs because they keep their value so well. Combine that with the business benefits of a lease, it's often a much better choice than buying. Though the rich are often wise with their money, some poorer people are as well.
