Do you ever get a really mean thought and are just like "wow, why did I think that"?

For example, you are talking to this nice lady, or an old person is chatting away, and you wonder what it would be like to just punch the lady in the face as hard as you could? Or another example, someone is being nice to you and you just want to yell out a ton of obsenities and just go off on that person? Or a final example, you just wonder what it would be like if you just T-boned the next car you saw as fast as you could?

It is wierd.

I occasionally think, "Man I'd like to st@b that guy in the face" but then I realize that no, this is the internet, and that just wouldn't be right.

My downfall will be the day someone invents a device to do this. 😛

Occasionally I wonder what it'd be like if I cut the steering wheel really hard on the highway and fly all over the road. But, I obviously have refrained from that activity. It's weird to think about though.

Well, if you start to obsess about it you might have OCD. If they just pass through your head it's totally normal. Everyone thinks these thoughts once in a while. You're perfectly OK.

constantly and only with people i dont know at all. even if i know their name, i dont start that kind of thing...
but if i do i usually never think "why did i think that?"
i just try to put it out of my mind, otherwise i spend a lot of time on the details of the violence.

No I don't obsess over them, and when they go through my head I am usually shocked with myself. Another example is if I'm have a friendly talk with someone and I just wonder what people would do if I just spit in that person's face :Q, and then I'm mad at myself for even thinking it. I'm glad to hear this happens to most people, it happens at MOST once a month for me. Maybe the people who don't have these thoughts occassionally are the ones we should worry about.

lately ive found myself blatently not listening to what people are telling me. i just cant maintain after a few minutes of talking to some people...

yep, considered that one.

edit: erased 2nd sentence for it may incriminate me in the future. 😀

edit2: ah crap, ive already been quoted. gotta come up with something new

Believe me EVERYONE thinks these thoughts. I suffer from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and through therapy I've learned that EVERYONE thinks these thoughts. The thing about OCDERS is that we can't let go like EVERYONE else does.

yep, considered that one. also, going up to the people i hate and pistol-whipping them, then wondering if a lawyer can get me away with probation on an assault charge. but i already know i have a sick mind, no denying that. 😀

See EVERYONE thinks about these things. I'm so glad that this thread was started and we could all share our thoughts. It's very interesting to say the least. Nobody here is abnormal, we're actually all very normal. It's just thoughts, it'll pass -- they dont' mean anything.

I can guarantee you that they are thinking these thoughts. These thoughts are perfectly normal. Even if you can't admit to it, I'm sure you've had a bad thought cross your mind.

I've thought about just turning my steeringwheel into the wall before.

Hrm. Not like punching an old lady in the face, but there've been times I've wanted to play bumper cars on the highway (with a Hummer vs. my little Honda, of course). 🙂

Once I actually had a happy thought about strangling a baby, but I discount that since it was driving me insane by crying for hours and hours and hours on a cramped plane. I'm sure plenty of other people have had that thought.

Occasionally I get the desire to do something bad like you described. Dunno why, but I've learned to expect and ignore those impulses.

I might have to do some research on WHY we have these thoughts. Why would I all of a sudden think about kicking the friendly person talking to me in the crotch? It seems common that everyone thinks about driving their car into a wall or playing chicken with another car. I wonder if they are considered suidical thoughts or not....sorry, that's for another thread.

Or it your talking to some chick and you start thinking what it would be like to just take them and do what you please :X That sucks, especially if your friends with them. I guess that's normal too, I hope :X

Yes, as long as you're a normal, functioning male, that is normal 🙂.
