My computer won't be fast enough until it can open applications just by me thinking about it instead of having to click and wait.

my computer will never be fast enough because the faster my computer is, the more I can do with it. The more I can do with it, the more time I spend with it. The more time I spend with it, the more I wish it was faster so I can do more things even faster. Eventually, my wrists will fall off and eyeballs will rot away and voice recognition and hearing will be shot beyond all hope and I will wait for my computer AI to fix me up so I can repeat the cycle all over again, all the while, wishing my computer was a faster, more competent doctor.

Yeah, I have a TRS-80 model 1, and it is very slow. I am thinking about upgrading to the model 4.

Nah I'm pretty content right now.

Once one of those virtual reality sex machines come out however, I'm there.

My last computer was 2x450MHz Celeron. The only reason I upgraded was because it fell victim to the dreaded Capicitor Ooze. I only upgraded to 2x1000MHz PIII. I still can't find anything that doesn't run on my OTHER 2x450MHz box.

Not really. I'll upgrade at some point, but right everything runs fine. Have yet to find anything that doesn't that I would want to run.

Nope, still using my p3-933 because it's not yet worth the time and effort to set up a P4 3 GHz. Maybe after Doom3 ships.

Mine feels fast enough for everything that I've thrown at it thus far. Age wise I think it's about a year and a half, give or take. Then again it is dual Athlon XP's with a gig of ram, SCSI, and RAID-5. :)

My dual Athlon MP 1800+ and dual Tualatin 1.4 are fast enough, and they will be for quite some time. :)

I'm wondering tho, How much do you think it will cost to get oneself converted into a datastream in the future?

my computer is fast enough (see sig).
it sounds stupid, but i think that 3dMark is responsible for like half of the upgrades made by users of this site. have you seen people posting about this ? it's all over the video and general hardware sections. people saying they can't wait to go from their XP2100 to a 2400 so they can get like 20 more 3d points....what's the point of that.

I have the bug, my 1600xp seems like it's slowing down. But mostly I'm satisfied with anything over 1ghz for right now. Sucks to be poor....wahhhhhhh
