i admit i'm a hot deals addict
constantly price matching with coupons in hand
the guys at office depot get a kick out of it when they see walk in the door
BUT staples.........that's another story :|
the manager at the staples closest to me is a not the friendliest person in the world
the last time went, he allowed a price match but said i couldn't apply a coupon due to company policy
wtf?
anyways, i'm going there right now to buy myself a scanner
hopefully there's a different manager on duty
wish me luck

Laugh in their faces when you buy something for 33% of the original price :D Screw it if they don't like you - you're their customer and there's no reason you shouldn't feel like you should buy a product

Hell, I don't like to shop in a store where I don't like the atmosphere. I'm really anal about that stuff.

good luck btw

I agree with Kami..no "vibes" no "deal." Heck, there;s another store down the block.

I know what you mean, I'm the same way. If I get a weird vibe, I'm out of there.

Ok, be a teenager with a pony tail and wear Metallica shirts. You will be made to feel unwelcome in a lot of stores.

Why do you guys care about a vibe? If you're getting a deal, you're getting a deal. I can imagine that you wouldn't wanna be a regular customer there, but not getting a good deal there is weird to me

You guys wanna hear something really messed up?

There was this one store, and every time I walked in I would have to take a crap. I'm dead serious here...I can't explain it...maybe something subconcious? :Q

The managers are aholes its not like they are paying from their own pocket that they have a big problem honering their policy.

Oh if it's a good deal, I'm there! But like you said I can't be a regular shopper in that store. There are a couple of grocery stores around here I just hate going to.

DAGTA,

Not to worry. The same thing happens to 45 year olds with a pony tail and beard, wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

On those VERY rare occasions when I need to shop at a "fancy" store, I usually just get ignored until I get in the Yuppie Puppy Sales Boy's face.

Even happens at Men's Wearhouse. A few years ago, on my once a decade buy new clothes trip, I was in one of their stores for about 40 minutes trying on shirts, sport coats and ties. The little peon at the counter never even gave me a glance.

After I picked out what I needed, which came to about $900 total, I walked up and put it on the counter. The turds eyes lit up and you could tell he was thinking, "cool, commission and I didn't even have to talk to the old hippy."

I looked at him and asked, "anybody else working tonight?" He said yes, so I told him to get them out front.

Other guy comes out from the back and I said, "Okay, you ring me up". You should have seen the look on the punks face.:D
