Do you ever do math while browsing the forums?

I was just thinking about that... I saw a joke thread with 53 replies after 353 views. That's a pretty high fraction of people replying to a thread... must be worth viewing it myself?

whoa. And, I looked at that joke thread... "algea bra"?? The math was wayyyyyy off that time.

I always do math while browsing the forums. That's because I usually browse from work and I'm a mathematician. 😛

I view 100 or 120 replies per thread. if the thread shows multiple pages, I rarely bother with the thread at all, unless the topic really grabs my attention.

I do not. I usually click on a thread that looks interesting, read the OP and replies, then decide on whether I should post based on the thread content.

I do the opposite of people above. Unless its brand new, I don't look at threads that only have a few responses because apparently people didn't find it very interesting. I don't see the point in not looking at threads that have alot of responses unless the whole purpose is to get attention with your post.

It's almost without fail in the neighborhood of 1:10 in OT. If it mentions an attractive female and/or insinuates pics (especially of said attractive female) it can climb to 1:25 or more  Er.. in other words, to answer the OP - yes 😉

First I check the thread title, OP then number of replies.

OP is a major factor. Usually I like to read YAGTS and threads by trolls because there is usually pwnage to be had in those threads. (either by the mods or other AT members)

I also take the OP into consideration as well but the thread title usually catches my eye first.

I don't pay much attention to posts or views, rather OP.

Then again, i post in non-OT sections of AT mainly.

Yeah, and I get the feeling that my threads have a much larger views:responses ratio then others.

When I'm really bored one of these days, I'll write a little script that computes that average, then compares my threads to the forums in general.
