Do you eat the bruised part of a banana?

If it's a huge area of bruising, no. If it's just a small area, sure.

Although I can't eat them at all anymore because they make me feel like I've been gut-punched. Don't have problems with any other food, but for some reason my body doesn't like bananas anymore.

I reach in, pinch out the majority of the bruise, toss that into the trash, and eat the rest. Why? The bruise looks unappetizing and certainly has a worse texture. But I'm not anal, I do leave a bit of the bruise in with my technique. I'm too lazy to get out a knife, carefully cut out the entire bruised area, and wash the knife.

No, I like them before they even get fully yellow. The flavor is too strong once they get the brown spots. And I always cut out any bruising, the texture is gross.

I usually do, it's not like it's got anything bad to harm you and I'd be too lazy to even bother removing it. Just close your eyes?

Thisaone. I usually bite it off, spit it out, or eat around it, then pull it off. Occasionally, if it's only slightly bruised, I will bite the bullet and just swallow.

depends how bruised, and how long it has been bruised. i like my bananas very green so usually my bruises are just starting and i dont mind

I can't stand it when people waste perfectly good fruit just because it's starting to get just a little too ripe for their taste. Like when they throw out apples and oranges because they have a mushy spot or something. Such a waste! As for bananas hell yes I'll east the bruise. Now if 1/2 the banana is a dark brown I probably wont but anything up to that is great! I personally don't like shakes but lots of people blend overripe bananas into shakes! The more bruised the better for this purpose, they can be almost black.

I usually avoid the bruised portion. Its not because of the taste, its the texture.

I try not to. I know a guy who slices the tops off of his banana rather than open them the old fashioned way for similar reasons.
