Their stock just increased over 16% and is now over $500/share! That's doing a lot better than some of the big tech stocks out there. Are they doing so well because their food is actually that good or good marketing?

It's because Caucasian people are retarded dipshits with no taste buds. MCDonalds is constantly voted America's best fries, and Chipotle stays packed. MCDonald's has some of the worst food ever, and honestly if they started serving Mexican I'd eat there before I'd eat at Chipotle.

My local chipotle is usually filled with Salvadorians. I guess they are retarded dipshits too with no taste buds? or maybe sometimes people are just busy and need a cheap decent tasting convenient meal?

I actually see your point based off of today's Chipotle.

But did you try it back around 2006?


The tortillas were larger. They used better cuts of steak. They didn't knock off that extra piece of meat from the spoon to make sure you didn't get too much.

The burritos were bigger, tasted better, and were cheaper. At least that is my experience.

I go to Chipotle on occasion. Not my first choice, but better than most fast food. Plus, the closest Jack in the Box is in 172 miles in Indy. =(

Yeah, I liked Chipotle when I first tried it years back when they were still owned by McDonald's. But something changed and after two subpar food experiences at my local chain, I've stopped eating Chipotle. If I could get the original back, I would still eat there.

Mexican people tend to hate Salvadorians, I never knew why, but now it actually makes sense to me. I can't speak for where you live, but here Chipotle sucks for busy people. The line's typically out of the door and it's a solid 15 minutes before you even get to order. Might be different elsewhere I dunno, but I figure everywhere has about the same % of people who have no taste buds, so I gotta assume all Chipotle's as packed like that.

Much like all the people here who raved about Five Guys. It was like the food version of being catfished. 🙁

There's a Chipolte downtown. Only one I've ever seen in Canada. Not in the area often enough. There's a regional chain here called Burrito Boyz which is supposed to be very good. Been meaning to try it.
 
I like Chipotle as a lunch option. Price is more expensive than other fast food places, but I think just the better quality of the ingredients is enough to justify that. It's certainly not authentic Mexican food, but tastes pretty good to me. Let's just say that you can do a lot worse in midtown Manhattan for lunch.

You can have a lot, lot worse in suburban Grand Rapids.

Chipotle is a good option. I don't think anyone in this thread is saying that its the best option or real Mexican or anything close to it.

What I do see is elitist assholes trying to one up people on their fast food choice. Who gives a rats ass? Its just lunch. Get over your self.
 
No. It's too expensive for what it is and usually dirty and the customers are rude.

I usually hit this place up for cheap burritos/tacos (meat and salsa/veggies are fresh):

It's not life changing but its affordable and relatively cheap. 2 Taco combo (+ chips, salsa & med drink) is about $6. Tacos are good sized and they load them up like burritos. Their chips are great because they are thinner than most chains (makes them crispier). They're addictive.
