I drive an auto, but have an SUV right now, I plan on my next one to be a car with stick.

I like to drive a stick shift vehicle, but I'm stuck with automatic because of my wife.

American and drive a stick on both my 350Z and a Tacoma, but I'm planning on replacing that Tacoma with an automatic.

All my vehicles have manual trannies ;

1971 Chevy short bed step side, 3 on the tree baby !

1974 VW Bus with a Corvair 4 speed

1968 VW Beetle with a 4 speed

1967 VW Bus with a 4 speed <-- Talk about fvcking slow, holy bejeebus

1964 Chevy Corvair with a 4 speed

Chevy tow truck with a 8 speed

1996 Hyundai Accident (Accent) with a 5 speed <----- POS but gets great gas mileage

Soon to be in the stable ;

1969 Chevy Corvair with a 4 speed

1964 VW Beetle with a 4 speed (This ought to be fun, a six volt electrical system)

Oops, forgot to add, my blood runs red, white and blue.

I'm from the UK, and I've got one manual and one automatic.

Only got the Automatic because it was my mum's old car, but I much prefer driving a manual.

If you do this poll in the UK, you'll find the majority drive a manual, and very few drive an automatic.

American, auto.

My left leg would be the size of a 90 year old sequoia tree if I drove a stick in Atlanta traffic.

American. Have two cars (three technically, but I won't count the project). One auto, one standard. Been driving the automatic for the last 6 months or so since the transaxle in the car with the standard needs me to look at it and I have not had the time with college ending and my job search. Normally I prefer to drive the car with the standard but I have definitely become attached to having double the horsepower in the car with the automatic.

As they used to call it, 'standard shift.' Stick gets better mileage anyway.

Not the way I drive it, it doesn't.

American/Stick. Although it can suck in morning traffic...thats the only reason I might consider getting an auto after going from auto to stick.

With stick, when you want power you can get it. Auto, yes I know...the 1, 2 thing...but its just not the same. Plus stick owns in the snow and you can start a stick shift by rolling the car if the battery dies.

:thumbsup:

I don't have enough traffic to deal with to warrant getting an auto car..even with an aftermarket clutch and a lighter flywheel, stop/go driving is still managable..
