And, if so, do you live with someone else?

Both my wife and I do but its just the two of us. We also find that certain drinks seem to taste better straight from the container - like soda

Only way I drink anything, unless its water which is whatever I have convenient, usually in a cup of some sort.

It depends on the beverage.
Beer and wine and such get a glass, because the olfactory sensation is greater when drinking from a glass.
Juice and water I drink from the bottle, milk sometimes as well, but other times I mix up some mint milk, which obviously requires an additional container.

I'm hooked on apple juice, I'll drink it right from the bottle sometimes if I'm especially thirsty.

The wife and kids have their own milk so I'm usually the only one drinking mine, and it's usually directly from the container.

Milk tends to develop those disgusting crusty, milk flakes around the cap of the jug.

So no.

Depends on the size of the container, since I live alone. If its something I can finish in a single sitting, I won't bother making a cup or glass dirty and just drink it straight from the carton. Something that will take a few days to finish, I'll use a glass.

Heavily depends on single serve container vs multi-serve. Gallon of milk? No. Bottle of beer? Yes.

It's called pop you person of respectable intellect, not soda.
I don't drink pop.
I drink orange juice and other beverages directly from the bottle/container/jug.

LOL @ the 5 people who voted Ich bin ein Berliner!

Personally I buy the carton all to myself. Chocolate milk for example or soy milk.

When you drink directly from a container and reclose it, the germs from your mouth will grow in the now-contaminated bottle. I probably won't kill you the next time you have some, but it won't taste as good either.

Just use a glass, and rinse it when you're done. Takes two seconds.
