I don't buy into the 64oz stuff... so you are tellin me my GF who is 5'4" is supposed to drink the same amount as my uncle that is 6'11"? same goes for the 2000 calorie diet.. sure if we were all clones.

I think it's something like 32 oz for very 100 pounds, so average human would need 6-8 cups a day... not sure what the formula is.
of course if you google "how much water a day" you'll get varying answers but the consensus seems to be drinking 64oz a day is healthy for you or at least not determinantal to your health.

God I love Google: 8 US cups = 1.8927059 liters

I thought 8 cups was more than that. I usually drink 3-4 liters per day...

Yes. If you are urinating frequently that is the clue that you are indeed drinking enough water.

I gave up soft drinks last March and went for a healthier lifestyle. I was addicted to Coca Cola and rarely drank water. Now, I drink 2-3 Propels a day plus plain water when I am excercising, sweet tea and juices. I only like water when it is very cold and even then I prefer to drink flavored water like the Propel I mentioned.

Unfortunately the dreaded "piss factor" comes in when you start drinking a lot of water and I am slowly wearing a path to the bathroom into the tiles here at work :D

Depends on the size of the cup :)

I drink about 2.5 litres of water a day. I wish my car would do the same for my 50-mile one way commute :)
