Do you do the driving, or does your significant other do the driving?

When you and your spouse/significant other go somewhere in the car, who drives?

I think my wife has driven us somewhere about 10 times in the 14 years or so we have been together, she says I make her nervous 😀

both.

IM MY OWN DAMN BOYFRIEND.

*kat. <-- likes to buy herself little presents and tell herself how sexxxy she looks all the time 😛

Considering my wife is Australian and they drive on the other side of the road I do 100% of the driving, for now.

I'm a man, I don't have an SO and I take the bus 😛

When I do have an SO and we go somewhere in the car together, I *really* hope she drives. What with my being clinically blind and not having a driver's license 😉

LOL! 🙂 Good thinking there..

Ive been the driver in 99.9 percent of all family trips, local and otherwise. I can only think of a few occasions in nearly 30 years that we ALL decided to sleep on the way. 😱

I would have voted for the "We share the driving equally," had that been a choice. We share because I have the better car, and I sometimes like to drive my own car.

By popular demand, this has been added as a voting option. I certainly want to make sure everyone is satisfied. 😀

Wow, that was too easy. I'll bet you are one of the few who will stop and ask for directions.

Too bad I can't revote (I am in America, isn't it my right to vote twice?)

I generally dont need directions, I am already so good at everything I do. <runs off before he can be proven wrong>

if i'm not tired, i do the driving whether its my car or her suv. but when she asks to drive, i usually let her.

no significant other.. but if I had one and depending on her driving skills I would say yes or no.
but knowing me I will let her drive anycase.

I'm a woman, and I drive whenever my husband is not in the car (so our kids know I can drive). I have a better driving record, fewer fender benders per adjusted mile. However, he is so critical when he is the passenger ("that's not the way I drive!") that I prefer not to drive when he's in the car. That's fine with him too. And since I can relax when he's driving and even nap on trips, and he is incapable of relaxing when I drive and certainly can't get any rest, why not let him drive? That way one of us can rest, enjoy the scenery, maybe read a little.

Oh yes, and he enjoys driving, and to me it's a way to get where you want to go and move the things you need to move. That's also why he has two sporty cars, and I have a safe and boring station wagon.
