You're bringing up that punk SunnyD brings really gives me the giggles. When he saw I'd shown up in Washington Square and knew and told everyone he hadn't, he posted some lame excuse about not being allowed to fight by his parole officer, ROTFL!! He crawled away from the forums and never posted again!

yep , that was the place to be . It seems like back then the prices were better back then than they are on any of the forums now . But , you had to be really fast . I miss those days . Perknose and SunnyD deal was hilarious . But , most of Perknose's thread were funny .

Yep, those were definitely the days. I'll never forget the warmth and compassion the gang showed me when my son was born with complications in 2000. They tried to bring it back last year, but the lightning was already out of the bottle, and most of the community had moved on. Thanks to blade's PC Abusers, and AnandTech, at least we weren't left out in the cold.

I was just remembering the days of AGN when I came home and saw I still had an old bookmark from there. Anyone know how Jeremy is doing? I remeber when things fell apart he had a bout with cancer? That was definitely the hub of my trading, haven't done much since.

Basically, it got to a point where Pseudo fired everyone(Josh Krane, Scott Ruben) and kept Jeremy to keep AGN live but the article ended there. I guess it went down shortly.

Those who weren't around during the AGN days, man, those were the best trading days, period !!
Blade and Vidman were the mods there for those who didn't know.
Vidman was still the mod even those he said he stepped down

Yeah right. It was kind of a Sister site to Anandtech. Many here had dual memberships to both sites. AGN was home to the best traders on the Hardware Traders on the Net and the Best Trading Forum. Anandtech's Trading Forum was patterened after AGN's..right down to the Rules. You'll find many of the top traders art Anandtech have ton's of Heatware Evals from the old AGN Days (in Fact Heatware was designed for AGN as Heat was another AGN Trader himself)

Of course this has already been said but I'll repeat it because it's worth repeating..at least for me!

Sam, That pic you got was colored by my then 5 year old HIGH functioning Autistic daughter who is now 8. I'm proud to say she now attends regular classes in her home school district and has come so far in the last few years that even the Yale Univ. Child Study Center is amazed !! I thank you so much for reminding me of that pic. I was prolly so proud of her at that moment that I felt like sharing it with someone. I'm glad it was someone like you.

I lurked around AGN for a while.. Then i started trading on there about 2 months before it went down... I really do miss it.. I remember refreshing every couple of min to snag the next awesome deal.... And i can't forget the 3dfx and nvidia flame wars they had there... Ahhh what memories....

Yes, many fond memories of AGN... and some not so fond. Like when the forums kept going down (before the fusetalk switch) How long am I going to keep refreashing this dead page?!? --gottta beat golfreak to the deals! lol Kudo's to blade for keeping the spirit of AGN alive at PCA!

Yeah, AGN was the sh*t! Anandtech was like the dark side back then. We all checked it out, but we knew where our true loyalties lied.

Didnt the "alliance" with VE come later though? Or were they together before they split? Cant quite remember right now.

The best thing about AGN was that it wasnt overflowing with members, and thus the NEFs and trolls were in short supply.

And who can forget the babe threads? Only back on AGN, we posted the babes straight into the thread!

And the flame wars were so much better there. While the 3dfx vs. nvidia flame war was pretty intense, nothing came close to the vortex vs. live/a3d vs. eax flames. I remember being on the eax side hardcore, and it broke the record for largest post back then (250 something), but I guess thats commonplace nowadays.

As far as FS/FT goes....never been trolled once at AGN, although puto tried a few times. The biggest problem was that paypal and heatware didnt even exist, so everything was MO only. Buuuut..everything was dirt cheap! I swear I've barely ever seen a damn thing at retail around there. Your post stayed on the front page for hours, dealers were allowed, and it was hands down the best place to buy hardware.

It was just a better community back then. Trading was so much fun back then. I remember having numerous trades with vidman, golfreak, nexus_7, and even reg kmet (hows my old starcraft doing? )

Anyways, why is VidmanII banned here? I must have missed the reason why.

BigDee.....Go to PCA.....look under the Off Topic and you'll see why Todd was banned.
I still remembered you traded your TNT2 to me cause I got a hold of one of those cute toy from MickeyD's for your girlfriend.

Back then before Heatware....I used to keep track of every deal in WORDS so I can use it for reference.
And then from time to time I would list the big-ole list of GOOD TRADERS.
I know we all did it cause we didn't have anything to use for reference.
Ahh...back in the old days......less trolls.

Question...who was that one guy that was an awesome trader.
Everytime he listed something for sale...it would be for dirt cheap.
And he used to give away stuff from time to time too.
And lastly, he was the only "super" trader that defended Puto....he was the only one we know of that was still trading with Puto.
