Do you close your bedroom door when you sleep?

Always. Then again, I live with three guys that get pretty hammered on the weekends, and have been known to pass out in my bed.

I leave it slightly ajar to allow airflow, but enough to block out the light. In my apartment, my door faces the bathroom so that when someone uses it at night and turns on the light, it would flood my room with light if the door wasn't closed.

I live with roommates - and I close the door. Too much hustle and bustle in the morning that wakes me up if i dont.

Yes. I'm in high school, so I still live with my parents. They wake up very early, about an hour to an hour-and-a-half before me, so I close the door to muffle the noise/light.

For what it's worth, fire experts tell you that your bedroom door should be shut when you are asleep--for safety reasons.

I'm a guy so I don't really care.

Plus the fact that I don't have a room right now. I just sleep in the living room so there's no door to close.

Since the great snowstorm on last thursday, I had no power in my apartment. it was too cold, so I went over to my friend's place to sleep. there are two guys live there. I was quite surprised to find neither of them close their doors when they sleep.

Why were you sneaking around in the middle of the night peeking into men's bedrooms?

it was an apartment. their bedrooms were around the bathroom. I just felt a bit weird they left their doors open.

No, it's just me and my GF. We're sleeping in the same bed so what difference does it make.

I used to though when I had a roommate that wasn't my GF.

While living at home, while living in college dorm room, while living with roommates in college apartment and while living with roommates after college: All yes.
While living "alone" with my now-wife before kids: No.
Now, while living with wife and kids (under 7 yrs old): No way (my oldest kid would either walk right into the door in the middle of the night and/or freak out when she found it closed and thus, waking the other kid and scaring the crap out of me and the wife. We close the kids doors when we put them to bed, but open them before we go to sleep.)

BTW, I voted "no".

No, I don't even have a door for my bedroom 😀 I took it off when I moved in so I could fit my bed in here and never put it back up.

Voted "No" on accident.

Only on a special occasion. For the most part the vents to my bedroom suck, and the insulation on the 3 outside walls also sucks. So I get the extreems of the outside weather pounding quite quickly into my room. It works out alot better to just leave my door open so I get the flow of the air from the hallway to help even it out.

Nope... usually the cat or dog is already sleeping on my bed by the time i go to sleep, so I leave them there, and I leave the door open for when they want to leave.
