Do you clean your ears?

I don't and I feel like my ears are stuffy. clogged, etc.

I used to use Q tips when I was a kid but then about three years ago my doctor told me they naturally clean themselves, and since then I haven't touched em.

What do you do?

EDIT:
So the past couple years, I've been hearing my pulse in my head a lot, and I always thought it might be high blood pressure or something, but my blood pressure is never over 140/90 anymore, and usually much lower.

I had a realization this morning that I haven't cleaned my ears in about a year. Like, no Q tip or anything. I know, gross. But.... I wonder if that's the cause? What do others experience?

??? How long do you have to wait before they clean themselves??

Yep, every morning. Can't stand it if I don't. Screw the warnings on the Q-Tip box "DO NOT USE IN EAR". If people listened, they would be out of busienss. It's like they should add "wink wink" to the end of the warning.

Yup. My ears feel disgusting after one or two days of no Q-Tip cleaning.

I don't do it every day, about once a week.

That's about all I need because my ears don't build up that much wax.

I use qtips every day after the show. Every few months I bust out the wax removal chemicals and get the deep wax (probably pushed there by the qtips).

Once every few months I'll use Qtips to get the bulk of it and then ear wax removal solution to get the deep down stuff.

I wipe out my ears with a tissue when I get out of the shower every day though.

I should note that I don't use a Qtip all the time because it causes me to cough uncontrollably just by touching my ear (not deep), so much so that I gag/almost vomit from coughing so hard every time.

Yes, I know it's weird, my wife agrees with you 😛

I've never understood why some people need to clean their ears manually... Mine never get out of control or gross, they just regulate themselves... So bizarre.

I have figured out a technique in order to avoid the whole part about pushing wax into your ear.

What I do is I twist the Q-tip around several times and continuously spin it and very gently only hit the outer edge if I feel something in there.

If I don't Q-tip my ears they become bothersome and I start to itch at them uncontrollably. I work in an environment with a lot of dust and what-not (I sneeze about 15-20 times per day while working) and the Q-tips help get the gunk out that gets caught in there during the day.

Additionally while I shower I gently allow warm water to rinse out my ears.

I used to have a lot more ear infections than I do now since using this method.

every single day. i couldnt live without qtips. i dont know the fuss about dangers of qtip.. no problems here
