Do you call before heading out to buy something electronic-related?

I work in a smaller computer store that carries odds and ends that do not come in regularly. The store has a website that states prices but not quantity of stock. It clearly states please call before you come in to make sure we actually have stock.
But there is always the couple dumbasses that show up, demanding the product we dont have and then saying its bait and switch or false advertising.

Who is in the right?

no. i just trust it's in stock like the website says. the ironic thing is that the only time i called to confirm the thing i wanted was in stock, they didn't have it when i went there :|

I usually call if it's something that I really want and don't feel like driving all over to get.

Bait and Switch only applies to an advertised product at an advertised price. If you are just out of something, there's nothing wrong with that. Are you just supposed to have everything in stock and have a million items just in case someone comes in to buy everything?

Just tell them youa re out and to shove off.

But to answer the original question, I always call before I go somewhere whether it's BestBuy or anywhere else. No sense making a special trip if they are out.
