Do you buy ice cubes or simply make your own with an ice cube tray?

sometimes i will buy ice for the cooler, but ice that goes into normal drinks i make myself with brita filtered water.
 
None of the above. I have an icemaker in my freezer. Except on really hot days when I'm working outside doing yard work or whatever, it keeps up with our ice demand just fine.

So going to the store, getting the ice, carrying it to the cashier, paying for it, bringing it home, and then putting it in your freezer is easier than filling a plastic ice cube tray?

The whole process is more convenient.

Purchasing one bag of ice cubes which will usually lasts 1-2 weeks compared to filling ice cube trays multiple times, not to mention the time-to-freeze associated with ice cube trays, is far more convenient and logical in my eyes.

Buying multiple trays will negate this issue, and is a one time cost rather than the continual cost associated with regularly driving to the store and buying ice.

Buying ice makes sense only for large parties or camping.
 
Buy it, I cannot find a home ice maker that makes the ice pellets, and making it on your own is impossible. The pellets are by far the best ice, I don't know what it is about them but anything I drink with them in it tastes better. If LG or Samsung had a fridge with an ice maker that could make these pellets I would pay whatever it costs 😀

Crushed & cubes both suck ass.

I agree, however, I quite clearly stated I am ?lazy?.

Therefore, I am quite comfortable spending £1 every two weeks for a bag of ice cubes if it means I don?t need to constantly fill ice cube trays.

There is no inconvenience with this method as the ice cubes are picked up with a weekly or bi-weekly shop.

So, in this case, the cost of £1 buys convenience.
 
i dont really even use that much ice....... maybe two or three times a week and i only use two trays to make my ice. i have a built in ice-maker but the water tastes funky in there so i just nix that and make it on my own
 
I thought you guys across the pond didn't use ice? I didn't think you figured out how to freeze water yet, do you import it?

And a 2kg bag last two weeks? That would barely last me two days.

I believe most of our ice is sourced from Ireland where they have little Irish umpa-lumpas dig it out of the ground.

A 2Kg bag will usually last us 1 to 2 weeks.

Depends on how much ice I need. To fill a cooler, I buy ice. To throw a few cubes into drinks, I use an ice tray.
