I shopped online for other stuff. But I was wondering if anyone buys car stuff online and what stores offer good deals and good service. In short is there an online auto store that is a newegg equivalent?

Advance Auto Parts and AutoZone is where I shop online. Nine times out of ten, the parts are available at their brick & mortars, but not always.

I've bought little pieces from Ebay for my Tahoe, but nothing major, when I bought my K&N Cold Air Intake, it was actually cheaper in store at Discount Auto parts than anywhere I could find it online for new.

I just go into Advance and have them order what I need. 99.99% of the time it is in the next morning. No shipping charges that way. YMMV

I do that unless I have to order from a specialty store.

Most of the time, I can get stuff locally, but with free shipping for parts over $50.00, they might as well send it here, as make me drive 10 minutes to pick it up.

Yes because online is always cheaper then the dealer (for OEM parts of course). I gave up on rebuilt autozone crap a few years ago. I only get oil, hoses (if they have what i need) and spark plugs from the parts store.

Cool...didn't know about the free shipping. I usually just use the site to check stock and figure out what I want. I'm less than a mile from the store though so it isn't a big deal for me to pick stuff up.

I gotta stick this link in here: Link

These guys saved me $250, sold me a superior part, and I had it on my doorstep within 48 hours. Dealer would have taken more than a week.

mostly small stuff like oil filters and such. everything else i like to see and check out before i buy. id imagine paying return shipping on something huge and heavy might suck.
