Do you bet online?

How many people bet online... I just read an article that said betting on online in the US is illegal... Just wondering if anyone obeys that Law?

No Even if the site is 100% legit, and the game is fair, you might be playing against a pro or a bot.

I play Pokerstars play money freerolls only, I would never trust somebody else's computer to deal legitimately. Why take the chance?

I play poker alot... Cards have been dry so I'm taking an break from online poker. I live 5 mins from AC so i'll just wait 6 months until i'm 21.

I had a room mate who played PokerStars for a few months and racked up a few grand (starting with $200 and never deposited more). Smart way to play is on the .25/.50 tables for awhile before moving up to dollar amounts. And he was really good at poker. I learned a lot just from watching him

He was smart and knew when to quit. Built a new computer to replace his pissy laptop and I believe the rest is going toward college tuition.

Internet poker isn't as fun as real poker. You lose the personal interaction. You don't need a poker face when you're staring at a screen. You don't need to read people. It's kind of boring in that sense, but big hands are still really cool to see.

All sorts of wagering, even poker is illegal, but to date not one person has ever been convicted for online gambling.

It's illegal but not enforced.

Our casinos make a nice profit. May not be to the customer's advantage but hey nobody puts a gun to their head to make them drop money into those sluts.

While it would likely be considered illegal under current laws, it was something that nobody could have imagined ever being an issue when the laws were written. I imagine we'll see laws that address the changing technology.

As for why most credit card companies won't let you deposit via their cards anymore it probably has much more to do with risk for them than any law. It's simply not in their best interest to allow people to rack up credit card bills with absolutely nothing to show for it.

In the meantime I'm going back to my poker game. The fish are biting on Party.
