i keep hearing you evolutionist ppl saying that is is stupid for Christians to push the teaching of creationism in school.

you think that a well rounded education should include teaching that evolution is fact, while not teaching anything about creationism.

Forbid that students would learn about creationism and evolution and then make up their own minds!

isn't that just a LITTLE hypocritical?

Not at all. It's obvious the Creationism is lunacy.

BTW, it's the Theory of Evolution. It's not fact although all things seem to point that it is.

but evolution is only a theory. it cannot be proven scientifically any more than creationism can. therefore to teach it as fact while dismissing creationism altogether is not scientific. nor right.

but evolution is only a theory. (Only in name. Evolution is a fact) it cannot be proven scientifically (it has been proven scientifically)any more than creationism can(you can't prove Creationism because it's wrong). therefore to teach it as fact while dismissing creationism altogether is not scientific(Wrong, that's what science is, teaching what is scientific and rejecting what isn't). nor right. (huh?)

Which has more scientific evidence? I guess we shouldn't teach any theories in school like gravity or the atomic theory.

I am gay.
I am evolved.

This brings up an interesting debate. Few here would deny that homosexuality is genetic, as opposed to environmental. Fewer would deny evolution. But, if there's ONE trait that millions and millions of years of evolution should OBLIDERATE, it's homosexuality. Right? In fact, you can't say that with certainty of any trait except that which by definition makes reproduction impossible.

I've read through this thread and feel that I've lost at least 10 brain cells, but I've come across one discrepancy:

2000 years ago, intellegent people knew that the world was flat, although lack of evidence was present.

2000 years ago, people knew that the world was spherical. Claudius Ptolemaeus (known to us as Ptolemy), in his work Geography, cited the fact that it was hard to represent a spherical earth on a peice of paper. This was around the year 130 AD All About Ptolemy.

EDIT: JayDee said that, not glen as originally posted. DURR I AM IDIOT.

Years ago the "smart" people of the day could prove the earth was flat. These people did not have all the information that was available. Wise men who knew God said it was round.

Today smart people say that evolution is how things are made. These people don?t have all the information that wise men have.

Creation yes.....evolution no.
