..yup. but enough people believe in em to keep them around. similar to the global warming alarmists. Their computer models are their Ouija Boards.

I have to disagree with you on that. Global warming is real but it isn't a problem that we can totally stop. People are the problem and if there were none, there would be a lot less polution in the air. But this does not mean I am one of the naysayers who does not give a sh!t. I recycle and do what I can but the few like me can't fix what the 99% of people who don't give a sh!t are doing.

Yes, because I believe a piece of cardboard with a plastic thing, made by Milton Bradley can contact the dead.

Jane Roberts began her life as medium by channeling "Seth" thru a Ouija board.

Personally, I think her story is true. In general, however, there are no special "powers" in a Ouija board but those imbued into them by belief. They can act as extensions of their users, but that is all.

It's real, but who's to say people are causing it for certain? The earth has gone through climate changes in the past without our help.

Your lack of ability to STAY ON TOPIC is less mature than name-calling, a human trait to give things one observes a name (and my conclusion was thus accurate).

Back to Ouija boards, has anyone here on ATOT ACTUALLY used one?

Does it matter who causes it? Yes, the earth has gone through climate changes in the past, and these changes were usually marked with massive extinctions, as the animals unsuited to the new climate die off and leave their niches open for new species to rise into ascendency. While we're a fairly robust species, and climate by itself won't kill us, climate change WILL necessitate a massive reorganization of housing and agriculture at least, since different regions of the globe will become more or less suited to human activity as time goes on. These sorts of changes never come easy. Lots of people will die, lots of governments topple, lots of turmoil and unrest mark the shift to new weather patterns. It will probably stabilize eventually--the earth is great at that--but it probably won't be the same as the earth we know. And that will hold true, whether or not humans have anything to do with climate change.

If you still want to know "whodunnit", while it's true that the current temperatures haven't been shattering any geological records, the CO2 level--which has always in the past been closely linked with temperature--has been rising faster now than at any previous point in history. The numbers seem to add up, and so far no one has been able to refute them. And believe me, lots of people have tried. No one wants it to be true, except perhaps for a few true radicals...but they're not the ones doing the research anyway.

There will always be those who claim that the earth does not move, that animals do not evolve, that relativity is false...but over time, as the theory remains stubbornly in place and irrefutable, even they will come around, or at least get quieter.

...Oh, and I think ouija boards are crap🙂

Right, because I'm the one who brought up global warming

Fight the power, kiddo. Fight the man and his vast, evil right-wing conspiracy... n' stuff! Yeah! I guess all kids need a cause

Same here. I had a friend that had pretty bad experiences with it as well.

Ah, I hadn't caught that post earlier, no wonder you seem so stupid. Because you are.

Ok, we're done for good 😀

..even the UN is distancing them selves from american eco-alarmists i.e. algore and his fraud flick.

..but i wana stay on topic. Where can I get me an Ouija Board so I can get to the bottom of this global cooling thing once and for all. 😕

At this point, I don't think you could start a thread about Alice in Wonderland without it degenerating into a global warming discussion.

i've never used one or even seen one in use beyond a movie or tv show but i'd say they don't work.

this forums is extremely against anything paranormal, supernatural, etc.

I'm a little torn on my beliefs towards Quija boards. I've played with them on a couple of occassions and back in 94 on Halloween night I concentrated with a friend and it spelled out "END IS NEAR". It freaked me out enough so that I never used on again. I know for a fact that the person that held a finger on the piece didn't spell it one purpose b/c I had her turn her head, while it shifted... of course she thinks that I spelled it on purpose and so do the others that were watching.

I tend to believe it a lot of things though - ghosts, spirits, God, etc. So maybe it's just me.

Only reason I'd use them is to weed out potential girlfriends. If they believe in that crap, they get dumped.

No, that's when you rig the board/piece with magnets to answer "Yes" and "No" at the proper time.

Girl: "Should I sleep with txrandom?"
Board: "Yes."
Girl: "Wow! Should I bring my friend over and have her join in?"
Board: "Yes."
Girl: "Should I turn the video camera off?"
Board: "No."

Its sort of like asking if I believe in cars or dinner plates.
Yes, I believe in Wiji boards.

I think a better question would be: "Do you believe ouiji boards actually work?"
Of course I have no answer to that question because I've never used them.

I figured most people were smart enough to see the implication. 🙂
