That's not really a "miracle" per-se. Though it does bear a striking resemblance to a _highly_ simplified version of what Kierkegaard talks about when he contrasts his "Knight of Faith" with the "Knight of Infinite Resignation".

That said, I do believe that there are miracles, but they aren't always the one's we'd like to get.

Miracles are temporary suspensions of the physics program for the purpose of inspring belief and applying another layer of control. It was thought that allowing events that humans were conditioned not to accept would cause many to regect the program, but what we found is that their primitive cerebrums actually cling tighter to the illusion when confronted by something we've told them should be "miraculous". Those who believe fall further into our control while those who deny just find something else to believe in just as religiously, also falling further into our control. The Jesus program really outdid himself.

How do you know that no miracle has ever happened to anyone you know? Because they never told you about anything that could be called a miracle? That doesn't mean they haven't experienced miracles, it just means that they haven't told you about them. Some things people don't tell to other people because they wouldn't understand or the circumstances just aren't ripe for the telling.

No, you can speak for yourself, at least if you are honest. But you cannot speak for others and that was my exact complaint. The poster had no right to claim that no miracle had happened to anyone known to him. In any case, logic does have it's rightful place in life, but in the realm of miracles it's not terribly important. If you don't believe that you are apt to be disappointed.

 
I do believe in miracles. They are rare, but they do happen. Still you don't always get what you want, but sometimes you will get something of importance.
