I do.

I just ripped up a refund check for $6 that a company double paid me for. Didn't feel honest cashing it.

I know its relatively minor but I feel what comes around goes around and I don't want to be the recipient of something negative because of something I did.

Anyone else do anything similar?

I don't believe in it.

I've never seen evidence of it in people around me :| and I don't experience enough of the good side myself.

Not exactly. I might do such a thing, but not due to some cosmic punishment fear. If you feel it is wrong to take advantage, then act based on that.

I feel that if the universe is going to give me a royal screwing over, it will, six bucks or not.

Well, Karma doesn't work that fast sometimes, because you could be paying for it the next life. As much as some of you want instant gratification, but no...

anything that "comes around goes around" is purely coincidental, no matter how many times it is witnessed. to say karma exists is basically saying there is some kind if magical invisible force that sits around all day trying to balance some type of magical invisible scale. that's a lot magic and invisibilty you know.

Well, one reason I believe is because when I was 13, I was coming out of the subway when some guy in front of me dropped a huge wad of cash and walked into a bank. I grabbed it followed him in, gave it back and took off.

My friends in HS thought I was crazy but I told them it was the right thing to do.

The next week, I won $1000 off of WPLJ in NYC on a radio contest using a princess rotary phone to call in.

Been a believer since then. :)

The guy who was threatening to sue me before got dumped by his fiancee.

And by "dumped" I mean "he walked in on her in the process of making some guy her pogo stick".

The Secret of Karma is that it is instant. The choices you make decides what you get, get into, miss out on ect.
On that note perhaps I should end my newsgroup downloading spree

I was giving one example for myself. I have been on the negative side of it too which did not involve money.

To me everything seems to have a balance though.

I don't believe in Karma or Religion. Both are for people that are looking for answers, im my opinion.

Yeah but those accountants are the ones that put me in a quandry by making me decide what to do after they double issued me a refund check.

See? Karma in effect.
