its kinda ironic that you started this thread, because last night some weird stuff happened to me to.
several times incidents occured...not in an evil way, but i believe that they were encounters with spirits/gohasts whatever you want to call them.
I was in an old hotel up north(michigan) when i kind woke up, not to the point of total waking but i saw and heard things going on around me. When i became more concious, i heard footsteps next to the bed and i knew something was in the room with me.
I know its not anything solid, but i have had a lot of these experiences. Its as if you just KNOW there is someone/something else with you eventhough you may b alone

I'm not in such deep denial that I would still disbelieve if a little girl ran up onto my bed and vanished before my eyes () but for now I have no reason to buy any of it.

Hey, if she would have stayed and talked to me for a minute, i would have believed in it!

Why didn't you open your eyes or wake up if you knew something was in the room with you?

WTF? You can't just say that and then _not_ elaborate!

Anyway, to comment on the thread: I want to believe, but can't. I could swear I've had ESP a couple times though.

Ok so my first question to all of you is do you believe in ghosts, spirits daemons, or anything evil or non-evil of that nature? If so why? Do any of you have any experiences in that area? (Come on Im sure some of you do, share with us)

Well, I do kind of believe in spirits, but not ghosts or daemons. IMO, daemons are just bad (and in flesh) people. I remember reading some book about black magic once, and it stated the spirits live in a different world, not in this one. Maybe it's just BS, but I think it's somewhat close to the truth. B/c noone has ever seen any ghosts here (maybe only in your dreams), that's b/c ghosts don't exist in this world, they just aren't here and thus can't be seen or influence anything that's going on here. And since they got no brains left they can't think, right? It all comes to that so that they can't do any stuff you see in movies. Of course, it may be funny to see such a movie but it's definately a BS IMVHO.

😀

I'm with m2kewl.. one of the Merovingian's minions is messing with you! 😉

Well one time I was alone in a train station lobby and he walked in a stared at me as he walked away. Coldest eyes I ever have seen.

The other time I was hallucinogenicly enchanced so it may not count 😉

Since you were at a hotel it is very, very likely that a person simply walked down the hallway by your room and in your sleepiness you heard it and it sounded like they were in your room. Hotels are strange environments.

Christians believe in demons and spirits, but not ghosts. The Bible says that God is a spirit and that people are spiritual beings. Demons are either fallen angels, or perhaps the spirits of the Nephilim which died in the great flood.

I was just messing with you😀 But it's interesting that you say that because sight is pretty high up on the hierarchy of senses. We usually use sight to verify something we experience with our other senses. For instance, you think you hear something in the next room, but you're not quite sure. At this point, it could be the wind, some other freak noise like that, it could be a TV or a radio, another person, or it could be nothing at all, just an auditory illusion. So you go "look" to find out what it was. We use our sight to verify what we thought we sensed with our ears. Usually the only other sense we use to verify our sight is touch. Even if we "see things" or "hear things" that aren't there, we usually don't feel things that aren't.

I didn't read that anywhere. I just made it up based on my own observations.

Since you said you're all christians, this might make sense to you:

Spirits and ghosts are nothing more than pretending demons. Demons like to confuse people by taking these forms, sometimes a demon will pretend to be a dead relative, just to annoy a person or lure them into a darker path.

The best cure-all is to pray to Jesus to cleanse the house of any demons. Simple as that. Demons can't stand the name of Jesus so they flee. Don't get into that séance or wiji stuff, that is what they want you to do because it is an invitation to bodily possession.

yes, i believe. demons, spirits, ghosts, etc. are all rogue programs that have gone into exhile in the matrix. they exist only to cause havok and disrupt the harmony of control.

I do believe in the existence of something but I can not always give it a specific name. Some say it is images from another dimension, some demons, and some the spirits of the departed. Who knows, but I refuse to just rule out anything even if it can not be proven scientifically yet. (At one point in history, people scoffed at the idea of microorganisms just because they could not see them!)

We do know that "hag syndrome" is caused by waking to suddenly and sleep paralysis has not worn off yet. As for what you feel/see when awake, I think someday we will be able to explain them...just not yet and I wish to keep my options open.

If you are Christians like you profess doesn't the Bible talk about evil such as that not being able to be around you? Kinda like your protected from crap like that......I can't remember.

Something like that. Basically if you surround yourself with Jesus then no evil can come near you. But if you welcome the evil, well then be ready for it.

That's circular reasoning... just because something hasn't been proven scientifically, doesn't mean every half-assed theory can possibly be right.

And why is it that women are more likely to believe in ghosts and spirits than men?
