Polling suggests he would have won.

"The national survey of more than 1,600 registered voters, conducted by Gravis Marketing two days before the general election, found that Sanders would have received 56 percent of the vote while Trump would have won 44 percent. The poll was commissioned and financed by outgoing Florida Congressman Alan Grayson, a Democrat who endorsed Sanders in the presidential primary."

Those polls don't show what would have happened if he were the nominee. We're talking alternate history here, nobody was beating up on the Bern for 6 months.

Hush, going more progressive is how Democrats could have won ;)

Bernie would have lost too, he's far to neo-con to have won.

right, I'm the one who thinks portraying Bernie as a neo-con is a subtle joke somehow. Derp
I was completely joking, read the context if you're still confused. He obviously isn't a neo-con, which should have made the joke obvious but no, you've got blood coming out of your wherever ever since Trump secured the presidency.

Not only would Bernie the 'Socialist Jew' had certainly lost, but I would argue that his candidacy is what cost Hillary the election. The right wing agitprop that the DNC stole the nomination from him (which was never true) was very effective in keeping just right number of whiny bitches home last Tuesday. Hopefully, their idealism fades in the next few years of reality in Trump's America.

Yes, that was my point, your joke, like your candidate is a joke. Are you jerking off to those lips? Or are you just taunting? Because I believe that's not a very christian thing to do, right god boy? Taunting, I believe that's frowned upon. Oh, that's right, you're just a wanna-be christian poseur.

Your problem is you conflate the terms of "conservative" and "Republican". I'd have absolutely given Sanders consideration, cause half a Libertarian is better than none. As it is, Johnson was my vote.

This is already a socialist country, except much of that socialisim goes to corporations. I liked Sander's rock solid honesty, and if we're gonna be socialist, I want some of those sweet socialist dollars. Better than what we have from the two major players.

Rather doubtful someone who still hasn't figured out what socialism is, and this is despite using the word quite a bit, should be lecturing anyone on term definitions.

Taking moral lessons from a bully like you isn't my highest priority. My hope is to trigger you enough so you eventually see how much you're embarrassing yourself so you stop.

A good post, at least some people are now realizing that Trump is not a buffoon. He's very smart, especially when it comes to Persuading people and building consensus / coalitions. That's what persuasion is about.

You should keep in mind that Clinton and Obama's teams used the same techniques as Trump though, and both hired consultants who are published experts at this. Clinton in particular had far more resources to manipulate people. In the end, they simply weren't as good at it as Trump is.

Let's be realistic here, he's only very good at persuading the lowest common denominator, though in fairness that includes them building whatever he needs until they get screwed out of what's promised in return.

It's rather refreshing though at least of those people could admit he was much better at manipulating them as a politician than clinton.

Not really, he predicted 340 EC votes for Mrs. Clinton.
Can't say I was really expecting that your effort to humiliate him and your reaction to my effort to inspire humility in you would create any enlightening cognitive dissonance You can hide your hubris from yourself, but you can't hide it from everyone. Just remember that shaming people who are deeply ashamed won't have the intended result, but since you are willing to try I may as well too. ;)

I'm talking about you. You name call at the drop of a hat which is a form of bullying. Trump isn't perfect and I've never said he was perfect.

Uh oh, I'm getting schooled by a child with a superiority complex. I get 13 results of me using the word "socialist" which is 0.0289% of my posts here. That's a unique definition of "quite a bit", and by "unique", I mean "dogshit wrong" like the rest of the drivel you post.

You go above and beyond to make this subforum a real piece of shit. I only come here because the forum navigation is garbage, and it's easier to get something to read by clicking on a new post(which happens to be P&N, especially lately) and your name stands out in all the threads for unadulterated crap.

Have you at any moment in your life up to now ever realized even a fraction of how oblivious you are? Serious question. You're literally describing the guy wouldn't drop support for if he raped someone in the street.

How many more times can you use socialism in just one sentence?: "This is already a socialist country, except much of that socialisim goes to corporations. I liked Sander's rock solid honesty, and if we're gonna be socialist, I want some of those sweet socialist dollars. Better than what we have from the two major players."

Is there like some kind of higher threshold for word use by which time you figure out what it actually means? For most people, that threshold is one.

Also just fyi, I very much realize my posts mocking dumbshits are not well received by said dumbshits.

You're the brilliant political mind. Why don't you tell me what socialism is?

There you go again, trying to cause somebody to feel shame that you yourself won't feel. It's feeling shame unconsciously that was inculcated long ago that makes you block out the shame you should feel today.

lol nah. It's more that Obama's excited voting base decided to stay inside for 2016. Sanders excited people that never would have voted Dem to begin with. Granted, the margins were so small in the few critical states that you might technically still be right, but it was a smaller factor compared the Clinton simply being a terrible candidate, and horrible polling telling people in the Midwest and Pennsylvania to just stay home. Dems lost because they had nothing going in their favor other than brand loyalty (where they're weaker than Repubs) and the "Anything but Trump!" factor.

And double lol @ "Hopefully, their idealism fades". What great health the Democratic party is in, haha.

Trump destroyed both parties. The GOP may have won, but with an entirely new power coalition.
