Sometimes I'll type a post and decide, nah, and just not post it.

Do you always post something you've already typed?

Sometimes I will look at my post and say to myself "Will this get me banned?

Then I will just delete it. :(

Nope. I type out full posts all the time, then delete them after reading them over again. Probably happens about 30% of the time, maybe a bit more.

I do it all the time when I start feeling that nobody will read my post or take it seriously. I'm a little gullible and often believe someone is raising a topic out of a desire to actually discuss it, when they really just want to espouse their opinion or just flat out troll. In cases like that the wise man keeps his keyboard quiet.

About 15% of the time on here I change my mind after typing a response. About 80% for fb/twitter updates.

If I am drunk or worse I try not to post. Today is hard because I had to take pain killers for passing a stone and while I still feel some pain there I also feel like I am asceding a roller coaster.

I just deleted a long post about How I dont like a specific poster who lifts

I actually submit only about 1 in 8 posts I write; which are already about 1 in 3 posts I think of.

Which is why I have a Posts Per Day of 0.54

All the time.

I'll have it 3/4 typed and decide "fuck it, not worth the effort".

I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't actually post the vast majority of posts I write (not just on this site, by any means).

Usually its just "do I really want to get into an argument over this, when, given this site's demographic we are never, ever, going to agree on it?"

Other times its "reading that back I realise I don't really have anything to say I'm just jabbering for the sake of it".

My problem is I sometimes don't follow my instincts and post something I shouldn't.

Which is why I accumulate warnings from time to time an once every few years get a week off.

I quite often write out posts for things in P&N related to healthcare in order to correct the extraordinary amount of misinformation being thrown about then delete them without submitting because it's much better to pick my battles and not let my facts get in the way of others' haranguing.
