I simply want to know how long I've been on, as sometimes I forget and leave myself logged on at work or at home when I don't intend to. A quick glance at this lets me know that if I've been online 8 hours and just logged then then it's probably safe to boot myself from the at home instance.
Sort of a safety precaution I suppose.
