Do you actually like your job?

L

Lola

My job is a job. I don't dred getting up every morning like I did previously but I don't LOVE my job. I am grateful I have a well paying job, especially in the industry I work in.

In the future, I would love to really enjoy what I do and love it. It can be done, and I will do everything in my power to make it happen.

When I figure out a problem thats been a pain, I love that feeling. I'm in no way excited about going to work though. (IT)

Like it - compared to others i've had, and compared to what many of the other people in this country do. Overall, I don't like working, and i'd rather have an unlimited amount of cash to travel the world and not do anything constructive with my life.

I absolutely love my job. I feel like I am hanging out more than working when I am here. Sometimes I even catch myself saying that I wish I was working because it is so boring...lol

Hmm. Well on the one hand, I wouldn't mind being a game dev, instead of being a software dev on more mundane projects. On the other, I'm not sure I'd like the turmoil/turnover and not necessarily better pay that goes along with that field. (How many times have you heard about game studios going bust, getting swallowed up recently?)

Yes, I do like my job. I work with a good team of people (knowledgable and personable) and I feel that my job actually means something (contractor supporting U.S. military logistics).

Hate the job? Eh if there weren't office politics, management who could run the department, and people who weren't idiots working here then I would most likely enjoy my job.

Since that's not the case, yes I hate my job.

I hate everything.

The people, the smells, the food, the managers, the weather, the fucking music.

It all sucks.

I like my job, and I like the people I work with. If I won the lottery I would quit, but I wouldn't quit the next day leaving them screwed, if that tells you anything.

This is a very hard question that I've been trying to figure out for the past few months actually. My day job is something that cannot be done without working in a corporate environment or being contracted (at least that's 95% of the market). I've been so turned off to the big company corporate scene since we have been, and still are, going through rolling layoffs as our business falls out. The thought of being my own boss and being 100% responsible for my own success is much more appealing to me at this point. That being said, I think my answer at this point is no. I don't like my job right now.

As far as jobs go, absolutely. I'd prefer to be independently wealthy and spend my spare time learning how to be a pilot and flying my family around the continent in a small jet, but within reason, what I have now is fantastic. I am respected, make satisfactory money, generally have a minimum of stress, plenty of leeway in case I need to leave for sick kids, etc. and finally it's fairly close to home. Oh, and also is a good resume builder. I have absolutely no complaints.

Nope. I enjoy some of the people I work and interact with, but I don't like the job itself.

I'm an enlisted programmer. I love programming, but having to deal with stupid haircut makes me like but not love my job.

I just began a job in an exciting (for me) field, VOIP. I've always been interested in networking, and man, did I land in the right place.

The only thing I don't like about my job is the commute, and I'm even getting used to that (after a year or so it's turned into my personal 'quiet time' where I turn off my phone and listen to music/talk radio)

So overall, I'd give it a solid A.
