Do you actually like your job?

I argue with people all day long and get paid for it (even more so when they actually believe the shit I'm shoveling); what's not to like? :laugh:
If I won the lottery I would probably still work here since I wouldn't get paid to be at home and argue with my kids all day.

I hate it, but it ends on Wednesday, and I'm only back for 2-3 weeks in January. It's repetitive, mundane and unrewarding, but I was having trouble finding something I wanted, so I found something purely for some money. That, and I couldn't have the highlight of my unemployed day being the newspaper I read during lunch, which was when I got up everyday.

For me work has always been work... i don't expect to like it, it's just something I have to do M-F to pay the bills etc...

but, currently I do have a job I like. people are awesome and the actual work is good (frustrating at times)

I used to like it. Now I absolutely hate it. I can't stand it and sit here most days trying to figure out why time is moving at 1/4 speed. Complaining about it afterwards and on the weekends doesn't seem to help either. Already in the process of looking for something else, but it's taking way too long.

My pay relatively sucks, but traveling the world and helping out with crucial research is very rewarding and fun. I've met so many interesting and smart people from around the world. The only thing that sucks about my job is the occasional seasickness and the day when I must say goodbye to the scientists and sometimes hawt grad students after a successful research expedition.

I'm not sure if it's a keeper, but it's awesome while I am still young. I do spend more time on land still though, and my boss is very lenient. I go to work around the traffic schedule, and as long as we get our own pet-projects and other stuff done, we get to go home pretty early. Very chill job and atmosphere. Hell, my boss gives out free beer from his beer fridge from his office on some days

Let's just say, I love the things I learn at work and I enjoy spending time and energy on what I do at work. Sometimes with deadlines... it gets a little stressful (with some comp. time after)... I don't really have any complaints.
No set times for work, no rules... here is your job, finish it, sometimes it is more like when can you finish this.

It can be boring at times, but my boss is cool, my team rocks, and usually, there's plenty to do ... So yea, I like my job.
