Do wireless mice still suck?

I have a 2004 Logitech MX1000 running fine in games and everything else.

As I see it Logitech's Fast RF has the edge for gaming.

I think I may have too much 2.4 interference to make use of wireless mice. My G700 acts quite a bit different unplugged than it does plugged in, so I just leave the wire attached. We'll see if that improves when I move out of my apartment and don't have 15 visible wifi connections.

I stopped using a wireless mouse for gaming not because of lag, but because the batteries would die suddenly in the middle of a game. The newer hybrid mice look neat though.

For a long time I used and preferred wireless mice. But then I went and got an optical wired one designed to be light (70 grams) and its made a world of difference. I move the mouse a lot faster and the flawless nature of the sensor makes me more accurate. 6 months with this mouse has improved my game dramatically and I feel like I am the same player that one championships 10 years ago. I don't have the mind skill but the physical skill has returned. The problem I had all along was a string of terrible mice supposedly gamer mice.

Its not that wireless sucks, but we should really talk specific mice because there are very very few that are actually any good, wired or wireless for gamers.

I think wireless will always have the disadvantage of interference from other devices especially in an apartment complex after over a decade of cellphone/internet/wifi boom.

Anyone who claims to notice lag on a good wireless mouse is full of shit.

I notice lag, and I do feel slightly constipated so maybe I am full of shit, but that's temporary and the mouse lag isn't. 😉
