Do we know when Tulitan (.13um) P3s and partner chipsets will be availalbe?

You mean Tualatin 🙂

Edit: Sorry. I have no idea when they'll be out.

I hope that Tualatin will support SMP on dual BX motherboards with a slotket, but I really really doubt that it will become a reality. 🙂

yeah something like that...I can't remember how it's spelt.

They won't, they require a new VRM module because they are such a low voltage. You need new motherboards. And I doubt anyone will produce a dual BX baord with VRM8.5

Damn..

At least it will compete against Duron better than Celeron did. It'd be cool if Tualatin is able to run with a passive heatsink.

That would be pretty sweet.

I heard the Voltage is like 1.2V :Q!

So at the lower speeds at least a good passive heatsink should be do-able.

So are these new P3s supposed to kinda replace Celerons as the lower end Intel solution, and then, of course, the P4s become the high end? Is there a chance that current motherboards will be able to support the new P3's with bios upgrades? I hope so...

No Booty, current boards won't. The new P3s will need a new VRM, and AFAIK there is no way to upgrade your VRM. You'll need a new board.

Noriaki, remember when the CeleronII and Coppermine FCPGAs came out they had different VRMs then the older PIII and Celerons but a new BIOS that supported a lower voltage and a slotket with support for the new VRM took care of that problem. You never know.
