Do views on an embedded Youtube video count towards overall views and ad revenue?

Sitting on a potentially lucrative YouTube video (i have monetization enabled) which has been embedded into blog posts by a couple big online publications. Now have a major international brand that wants to link to one of those publications. Are those views on an embedded player going to count towards my total views and potential ad revenue?

I'm a YouTube newb so I've never done this before. And it's kind of a pressing topic so I need to make a decision ASAP. Would appreciate any info.

Thanks ATOT!

You're not doing it right. You should hit up Ford for major advertisement money. Hey, don't forget 10% goes to me.

are those winter tires?

That video needs a Manly Voice(tm) voiceover like the commercials.

BTW, that's video evidence of him blowing the stop sign too.

Do in-stream ads play with embeds?

I've seen the layover things on embeds, but not in-streams -- well, I do see in-streams, but they don't look like they're from YouTube.

How much views does one need to make money? I had a video that got like 60k views... not much, but I figured I'd at least get like a dollar or something. Guessing it goes in your adsense account?

And yeah you should totally contact Ford with that, they might even pay you to use it in a commercial or something. 😀 That's pretty awesome too.

Nice.

But, I didn't see any ads in the embedded video. So while I contributed 1 (is it 2? I hit the replay button at the end) view(s), I don't think I got you any more money.

Check out CPM rates. They average pretty low. You need millions of views to really rake it in.
