So how are they going to get motion sickness bad enough while running and waiting that they couldn't get food?

Moving colors defeats them.

They would get owned by the care bear stare.

I tried 3d gaming on borderlands with the free red/blue option you can download. It was the first time I ever felt queasy gaming. Other than that i'm fine.

Pretty much only FPS games. Getting a little woozy is normal if playing something like Portal or Mirror's edge. I played through Portal without getting 'that feeling' the first time but when I tried to play the flash portal map pack I couldn't stand it and immediately uninstalled the game :p

I didn't have that problem in Half Life 2 though or many other FPS games. Quake 1 and the original half life come to mind as games that made me a bit wobbly in the past.

Yes. Remember a game called Forsaken? That one was real bad for me.
The movie Cloverfield messed with me too. I had to watch that on a smaller screen.

Yet I don't get seasick at all even when all hell breaks loose! This kind of stuff for days at a time does not bother me! (but it messes with the PERC/Mega RAIDS when the drives go off line due to getting bashed HARD!

Only certain games make me sick. It's so weird, and it has nothing to do with if I enjoy the game or not. For example, normal CSS I can play without getting sick, but when I play the zombie mod (which I love) within about an hour I feel like I need to puke.

I had to dump my eyefinity setup & go back to a single monitor because it gave me motion sickness.

the latest wolfenstein made me nauseous. Too much camera tilt fov changing, view bob, etc. Making me sick thinking about it. It was an interesting game though.

If I play an FPS game with has view bob or player bob on, it will make me feel sick after awhile.

If I can turn it off, doesn't bother me.

I remember when Medal of Honor came out for the PC, I found out how to turn off the bobbing, and could play the game for hours.

Visiting some relatives, and they had it for PS2...bobbing was on....the Omaha Beach part was almost exactly the same, so I was showing them how to do it, and I couldn't get halfway through before I was sick.

I've never gotten sick but my boyfriend can't play any FPS that is super dark, like Bioshock or Fallout 3, etc without getting nauseous

Is it really the dark, or is it more he just doesn't like the tense semi-scary at times games? I know a couple of my buddies can't play any horror type games without feeling stomach-ill from the scary parts... and worry of what's to come.

I think it's the latter, he says it's too intense. It stresses him out or something? I personally love it.

The only game that's ever given me a bit of motion-sickness was HL2 in the levels with the water buggy the first time I played it. Never really "sick" but a bit disoriented.

It surprised me because I've worked and played on the water most of my life and don't get sea-sick, even in VERY rough seas.
