If i'm stuck between a question I have no clue, and really need YOUR opinions about, I usually vote "results".

If I believe or have an opinion in something I put a poll for, then I do vote.

I accidentally hit "no".

Here's a tidbit of advice: If you vote for yourself, people might perceive you as arrogant or superior. However, if you don't vote for yourself, essentially what you're saying is that you don't believe in yourself - and people know this.
