i used to have transformers, voltrons, comics, and baseball cards. my mom threw them all out. now i am shelling out an arm and a leg to buy them on ebay or whatever. man, i am never gonna throw out anything ever again. 😛
 
My parents never bought me very many toys. Never had any transformers, had one gi joe that's long gone, but I have tons of generic lego blocks that I still have in my room (and sometimes still play with), and lotsa baseball cards.

Talking about legos, my mum threw away everything when she once stepped on one of the pieces. WOHOoooo......I almost got killed for playing Godzilla with Lego. 😀

used to have tonnes of marbles, threw 'em all away on the playground for the rest of the kids when I moved over to high school.

shooting marbles is so out these days eh for kids, I don't see holes on the playground no more 🙁
 
every toy i laid a hand on broke... so all thrown away... wish i was more careful as i am now with my pc stuff back then..

anyone still play with their toys?? 😛

Dude, just take it that, you'll never want to see my mum beat me up when I was young. She totalled me almost once every three months. Not to mention those small spankings. OOOOOOoooooooo......the agony.......the pain.....🙁
 
yup... that's an asian parent for ya. it used to be when my dad whipped me... i normally could get sympathy from crawling to my mom. but one time i was getting it pretty good in the kitchen... so i crawled to my mom's leg under the table. she kicked me back out. GAH!!!! that sucked.

I still can imagine the day she chased me around the house while holding a cane. LOL. that aws histerical. 😀
 
Not all, but most. my dad sold a few things at a white sale which my mom told me a few years ago...for years i had been looking for these 'missing' toys and my mom finally told me. 🙁

However, I do have quite the happening 80s toy collection going: Strawberry Shortcake, Smurfs, Cabbage Patch, E.T....

...and I know what you mean by hunting e-bay. I window shop there.
