Driver License Change-of-Address, Voter Registration
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michigan law requires that your driver license address match the address on your voter registration card. You may submit a change of address either at a Secretary of State Branch Office or by mail. If you are submitting a change of address at a Branch Office, make sure to bring your driver license or personal ID card. You will be given a sticker with your new address for the back of your driver license or personal ID card. There is no fee for this service.

If you don't change either address, then I guess they won't really know, but if you're doing this to get out of tickets and violations, then you're a moron and I should never have posted this information. :|Originally posted by: Ylen13

Happy? How can I notify DMV when I change my address?
Law states that you must notify DMV within 10 days of changing your address. There is no charge to change your address, and you may notify DMV by any of the following ways:
1. Call any DMV office at 1 (800) 777-0133 and request that a change of address form be mailed to you. It will take 5 days for you to receive it. Complete the information required on the form, then mail it to the address listed at the bottom of the form.
2. Download the Change of Address form DMV 14, complete the information, and mail it to the address listed at the bottom of the form.
3. Visit any DMV office, complete a change of address form, and give it to a technician. The technician will give you a Change of Address Certificate card (DL 43) to complete and carry with your license.
If you do 1 or 2 above, type or write in ink your new address on a small piece of paper, sign and date it. Carry this piece of paper with your license. Do not tape or staple the change of address information to your driver license.

Geez, you have to be nuts to risk insurance fraud for that.
Not to mention that if you are in an accident and they find out, no coverage for you. And if there's any kind of money involved (like when you would be in serious need of coverage), you can bet they will check for every possible reason not to pay the claim. Bank on it. They'll be happy to take your money and look the other way as long as it's not costing them anything. But if the day ever comes that you file a claim, they'll check, and politely show you in the fine print where you agreed that the policy is invalidated if you provided any false information.

It is your parents' office. You're going to say with a straight face you sleep in an office?

Don't recall exactly, got pulled over for something. He either asked if the address was correct or could see the difference in address between the DL and Insurance. Just change your address, it's cheaper and less of a hassle.
