kind of a broad poll. I have friends that are cops, that are some of the best people you will ever meet. But then again, I have ran into cops that were complete asshats.

This question is kind of like asking if you like gas station attendants.

Population control would be helpful in removing the morons that bad mouth the law because they had a run-in they disagree with.

 
i like most cops, but do not like cops with ego problems. You know which ones im talking about. The guys who are compensating for something like how they were picked on in school or whatever. Now they have power, and abuse it.
 
I have learned to not be where cops are and not to say anything to them unless I was the one to call them...i dont hate all of them, just the asshats...
 
I like and respect police officers. They are some of the finest people I have ever met and worked with. Police and the court system are the elements that allow a society based on law to function. Take a look at Iraq after the fall of the Hussein regime. Without police we would have anarchy with the weak being prey to the strong.

Of course in any selected group of people thier will be asshats, but no more than in the general population. I think that some of the negative impressions of police derive from the fact that ordinary citizenry tend to only interact with the police at the worst moments in thier lives.

I appreciate police officers for all they do. Some of them are assbite fvcktards, though.

 
Just remember, all cops are a$$holes and out to bust you. You are absolutely at zero fault if you get pulled over, no matter what you were doing or how you acted.

I also respect cops and firefighters because they risk their lives to protect mine.

 
Get rid of all the revenue generating cops, eliminate speed traps and photo radar, introduce different classes of licenses for differently skilled drivers, make cops accountable for the stupid stuff they pull using their lights as excuses, and maybe I wouldn't feel as much animosity toward them. I feel we don't need 90% of the cops that are out there... keep the detectives, gang investigation, robbery prevention and whatnot but 90% of them can go.
 
It seems to me that people only dislike cops when they get caught doing something they shouldn't be doing so maybe it is time people start looking inwards instead of outwards.

BTW, cops can be asses but I bet everyone here has their moments also.

Cops are people too, so there is going to be a range of different types. There are crooked cops and there are good cops. I know some people that have been screwed over by crooked cops, I've personaly been in a situation where I could have been screwed, but I wasn't because the cop was a stand up guy.
