do those cell phone antenna boosters work?

you know, those little sticker like things that go in your battery compartment or something... they're all over eb@y and i was wondering how well they work, if at all.

I havent tried them, but I am extremely doubtful. Because the wavelengths used are so incredibly small, I dont think the antennae size is a very big issue for cell phones. The issue is more about whether there is enough signal present at all...

*spelling edit*

those things are BULLSH!T!!! its just a piece of paper w/ gold paint on it. some guy wanted to sell me 1000pcs for $1000! i should have bought them just to eGhey...

Yes they make a difference. You will get a 4 to 5 time mprovement over your existing signal clarity. These things work because Nokia, Motorolla, Erickson and others spent millions but their researchers are just not that bright.

FreeFrag,

First off it is yakko, not Yakko. Secondly, if you can't detect the sarcasm in my reply I can send you an instruction manual on how to detect sarcasm.

FreeFrag, you need to adjust your sarcasm sensitivity.

[edit] Hey yakko, send me the manual. Could be an interesting read. 🙂

Hey! I come to AT because it is usually a source of Reliable Information, I dont expect Sarcasm 😛

Nah, J/K 😀 Sorry if I annoyed anyone, Very sorry yakko for incorrectly spelling your name.

They do exactly what they are designed to do by there creators!😉 Nothing but take your $$$$$!😉😉

I have a friend who lives in the country, on his front verandah he gets Shepparton transmitter, Back porch he gets Tatura, Sides he gets Muchison...crazy stuff.

But a real doctor, well a real chiropractor, who...well doesn't have any knowledge of digital engineering...anyway, she says it works!

And did you see the expression of the woman in the elevator? It has to work!
