there's sugar, aspertame, and saccharin on the table so you can make it as sweet as you want.

Ew...nasty. You mix it while hot so it isn't gritty. Sweet tea must be made at home in the lands of snow, for the natives are savages, ill equiped to deal with out civilized nature. (AKA bad food and most yankees don't know when it's time to sit down and take time out from life...y'all just keep movin'--must be why you won the war).
I'm in GA, where we have sweet tea and Coke (any soft drink) to drink when you go out.
Y'all can keep those potato dishes and stews, and I'll stick with sweet tea for my 3 and a fry (Mmm, mmm!).

I actually prefer the flavor of sweet and lo to sugar in my tea anyway but since someone mentioned fast food I have to rant. How do fast food places and gas stations make their tea in the south? If its the land of sweet tea does everyone know how to make it properly? Restaurants do fine here, but if I go to any food place you can tell that the tea is made in the same pot as the coffee. Nothing tastes nastier than the taste of coffee behind the tea. That does suck!
