Do they make haircut clippers with 1.25" or 1.5" guards?

The largest guard I've been able to find is the #8, which is 1". Does anyone make a 1.25" or 1.5" guard?

I don't think they'd be that effective with that large of a guard... but, it still seems like they'd make them that big.

I absolutely love our clippers... my wife sticks in a (#4?) to do the back and sides of my head... A couple minutes with scissors on the top of my head and I'm done. I hated spending as much as an hour at the barber shop between waiting and getting my hair cut. I figure that since I've been married, I've saved approximately $1500 by having my wife cut my hair.

anything larger then 1 inch doesnt really make sense to make for a guard, considering your hair tends to sloop a bit, making a buzz less effective. thank god i'm a number 8, 6, and 5 at hte same time. woot. makes cutting my hair at home easy and just as professional.

hah. I just have the barber stick on a #2 and buzz the whole thing :p They look at me funny the first time I ask, and I've been asked more than once if I'm in the armed forces.

Truth is though, it's force of habit. I have hydrocephalus, which requires a silicon shunt to be run from my head down into my stomach to drain excess fluid. Most people take care of this naturally, but for some reason I can't. It all runs just under the skin, and the surgery requires several incisions, including one near the top of my head. Every time I've gone in for an operation, the doctor has shaved that half of my head, and *only* that half. I went in several times during grade school, and when asking him to bic my whole head didn't work, I just took to wearing my hair really short so it wouldn't be so obvious and wouldn't take so long to grow back to the point of not being noticeable.
