Do they allow umbrellas on the plane?

Has anyone taken an umbrella on the plane with them? Wondering if they'll make me check it in. I have a pretty nice one and I'd hate for something to happen to it in the cargo hold. The alternative would be to buy one at the destination.

Sorry, I don't know. I never use umbrellas.

Call the airline. They'll tell you over the phone.

No wonder you're so pissy all the time :)
