This. Also, what the hell is with the smiley face with a bullet hole? Who shoots someone just because they're happy? That' just tacky.

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, those patches make no sense. The American flag and "come and take it" suggest a patriotism bordering on insane jingoism, and the "come and take it" combined with the smiley face suggest someone who is actively hoping they get to shoot somebody. But then, out of left field, you have the ironic zombie patch, as if to say "no, I'm only xenophobic against the undead." I don't get the connection. Anyway, I would certainly never put any of those on anything I owned, but I'm not really a patch/sticker kind of guy.

Agreed. Just seems overly violent esp. combined with the shot up smiley face.

I do not think the bag is improved by having patches. But, I don't think they are in bad taste.

I would wait until you were looking the other way, and then steal the bag and its contents. If I got caught, I would submit the "come and take it" badge as evidence that you were clearly offering free samples, and that while taking the entire bag may be poor social etiquette for free samples, it is nonetheless legal.

This plan is fine on paper until you realize the reason he turned around was because he just took his gun out of the bag. :p

As long as you only use your left shoulder to carry it you are fine. Otherwise you are flying our flag improperly. The other patches should be removed.

With a handgun? She might end up with a couple new holes but I'd get it within a clip.

M16? Easily.

I'm pretty sure it would depend on how fast she is running, no? Sure, with an M16 you could shoot her in the center of mass until she stops moving, then shoot the coin, but I would think that would be cheating.

I'm surprised more people don't recognize The Watchmen logo (it is the logo of The Comedian--the ultra libertarian, quasi-anarchist "world is going to shit, so why not have fun and kill a lot of bad people in the process" character. ...also a bit of rapist, but still)....I like that one, and the zombie one.

USA flag is fine, why not? the one that suggests paranoia and probable desire to murder....I could do without.

This reminds me of how when I walk into a gun store, I immediately shout 'godDAMN OBAMA!' as loudly as possible. It's so everybody knows I'm 'cool.' Like hitting a doobie to prove you're not a narc.

Much like those patches, though, outside of a gun store people are just gonna think you're dumb.

I don't think it's the same logo, but obviously similar.

They are patches, who cares.

If a patch or bumper sticker can upset you I suggest you get thicker skin.

Would have voted gay.

I don't think that is the Comedian's logo. I think it is just a smiley face that got shot in the head.

They look bad because they are not tastefully arranged. Cluttering it up with multiples dilutes the impact. I'd either pick one to adorn my bag or perhaps apply one badge per side of the bag.

The American flag is the classiest and actually enhances your range bag.

Watchman Logo is a smilely face with blood splatter on it. Not with a bullet-hole in the top.

yeah, you're right. looks kinda like a bullet hole, though (granted, the blood isn't even part of the real logo, just a result of his murder, right?). The Smiley face is his logo, whereas the face + blood spatter is a logo of the series.

I didn't even make the connection to the Watchmen, which is odd because I enjoyed the movie (didn't read the graphic novel). But it isn't the same logo. In The Watchmen, the logo appears to have had a blood drop land on a smiley face and splatter; it's not expressly the smiley faces own blood, and there's certainly no visible wound. In the OP, the smiley face has a visible bullet hole with blood dripping out of it, clearly implying that it got shot. That difference is important; it's the difference between the cognitive dissonance of an optimistic symbol in the presence of violence and an optimistic symbol as the target of violence. It's Howdy Doody cowering on the beach on D-Day versus Howdy Doody dead on the beach on D-Day. One of them is ironic, the other just seems cruel.

Well, it looks like people have covered this, so there you go. If it were just the Watchmen patch, I'd be for it. The presence of the bullet hole really changes the message.

Oh right. I should know this considering I just re-watched the 3.5 hour movie a couple of weeks ago. :whiste:
