I mean if the judge on the panel is thinking thoughts like "OMG, *I* would look better in those heels" rather than thoughts like "Damn, what a body", then he shouldn't be a judge ;)

And you don't a think a female judge would be thinking the same thing? Would you rather a srtaight male judge be thinking "damn, I would nail her 6 ways to Sunday, she gets a 10?"

It's really a lose lose situation for all parties involved.

If they wanted to make it really objective, they should have a doctor of genetic research there. Just get a blood sample from each contestant and examine their DNA to determine who is really the best chunk of reasonably-sentient meat in the running. :D

No, it doesn't. Yours is a stupid, hollow phrase of blinding stupidity. True tolerance does NOT mean tolerating the KKK or the Gestapo or the Red Guard, fool.

Stop throwing around "free speech" as if it meant that we have to be silent when we disagree with someone. No one here was advocating that she be thrown in jail for being a bigot. However, it's pretty embarrassing for our society that some people still think this way. I'd have the same reaction to someone disagreeing with interracial marriage on national television. It's the same thing.

someone asked her a question and she answered honestly. they got all pissy over her answer, when they shouldn't have asked an opinion question to which there was an answer they didn't like.

Why is this even news? I don't agree with her statement, but she was also put on the spot and had to give an answer; if it wasn't perfect she'd get ridiculed no matter what she said. Like I said, who gives a fuck?

I agree, a light weight tard bucket was put on the spot and would have been harassed no matter which way she answered.

It's only news because so many adult American citizens still can't marry the person they love.

its stupid that they push agenda. im glad she voiced her opinion.

Would you be just as glad if she voiced that blacks shouldn't marry whites?

Would you have rathered she lie and give someone else's opinion instead of her own?

Thought-nazi's can get stuffed.

I don't care if she says it or thinks it. I just seriously think people would view it differently if she said what I suggested, and I don't see the difference. What would your reaction be? I seriously want to know.

If someone wants to be intolerant, that's fine, but they should be called on it as often as possible. That's the second side of freedom of speech, and is not 'pushing an agenda' unless the civil rights movement was also an 'agenda'.

she said what she personally believed. she didn't say anything about public policy, or that she wouldn't respect a marriage in the utmost legal sense, or those who believe differently than she.

you're taking her answer well beyond what's intended.

So in otherwords, we should tolerate everyone except those whom we disagree with.

As for the OP, at least they stood their ground and answered honestly, as others said, if you don't want to chance disliking the answer don't ask the question.

Just curious- How are you able to be a moderator and yet still be able to flame people on the forum? Isn't that a conflict of interest? If they argue with you they get banned.

Not allowed. You have a week off. When will you guys get the message??? Stop confusing a moderators right to post as a member (like you) with his moderator status. This BS is getting old, fast. :disgust:

Not tolerating the viciously intolerant such as the KKK != not tolerating "those we disagree with."

I disagree with deeko about some of his yearly NFL predictions but I don't lump him in with Joseph Stalin or Joesph Goebbels. Understand?

Your crude re-phrasing attempt was pathetically weak.

I don't get why so many people are against gay marriage. It's not like it directly affects them. What's wrong with letting other people be happy?
