I think it's ironic as a group that has struggled for acceptance that they are crying out for the banning/etc of the contestants that simply do not believe in gay marriage.

Many people don't believe in marriage at all, should those people also be targeted?

A couple other tidbits:

1) Just becauase 95% of an 'AUDIENCE' is gay doesn't mean that's represents the entire collective that's behind Miss USA.

2) DUDES! You are calling for having treatment applied to a group of people that you yourselves cried was wrong. So hypocritical.

3) Some of the comments have been they should have just agreed it was ok...SERIOUSLY? Are we not only getting lied to daily, but now are requesting it?

It don't get how this is on all the morning news esp radio today.

Not one contestant said there was anything wrong with being gay...

Personally I don't see any problem with any two people getting married if they want too...however; I don't believe marriage is worth anything anymore than tax/financial issues.


This thread has run its course, I'll be reviewing it to determine if any vacations should be given out.

I don't get what the big deal is.

I think she represents the majority of the US perfectly well....as a bunch of socially backwards religious freaks being dragged kicking and screaming to the edge of liberty whom history will embarrass and then just enshrine as another footnote of shame for our posterity.

Miss Calif. said she is not for gay marriage when asked by a gay guy in an audiance full of gay guys.
Then the mother of Miss New mexico started bringing the whole bible mess into it, looking like a dumb redneck, but hey she made the news as well now. 😉
 
Why do they ask these questions if there is any potential they won't like the answer? Even then, who the hell cares what some dumb blonde contestant has to say? It's not like she is a contestant for her intelligence, religious, or political opinions anyway.

Just a bunch of drama queens.

Just another case of "You are entitled to your own opinion...as long as it is the same as MINE."

This great country was founded with the principle of FREE SPEECH, yet all too often, anytime a person in the public eye says something that one group or another doesn't like, "OMFG! KILL THE BITCH!!" :roll:

It was being talked about on two local clearchannel stations.

Miss X winners are never the most Intelligent of the bunch. She even fucked up Country/Family? I realize all that smiling must be a PITA, but who knew it caused Brain Damage?
