Do steam cleaners work?

Not the carpet kind, but the kind you can clean surfaces on. Does anyone here have one, or have used one?

I think our's you can use for both. It definitely worked on our stove. We have an electric stove and under each burner a lot of sh1t builds up every year, and one time my dad cleaned it with the steamer and it worked pretty well. It was faster and more effective than doing it by hand with some surface cleaner and paper towels.

The place that we rent has a stainless steel range hood. It was covered with a thick layer of sesame oil. I had tried to remove it using some household cleaners, but hardly moved anything for a lot of effort.

I fired up the Steam cleaner and fifteen minutes later we had a clean range hood. It was that effective.

Yesterday I cleaned my BBQ with it, ready for :beer: and meat for New years! 😀

What kind of steam cleaner was it? Brand, make,model?

The heat seems to melt whatever grease and gunk that's on there. Most substances that you need to clean become must more pliable when at 200+ degrees and moist.

I use my Steam Shark for cleaning the floors and around the bathroom. Also use it remove odours from the carpet and drapes.

It's high pressure steam. So any dirt and germs get blasted away.

I cleans it once a year, whether it needs it or not.....

It's pretty good for cleaning really dirty spots, but we havn't used ours enough to justify for the price 😛
