Do some public toilets in India not have toilet paper?

its funny that i remember in rural vietnam, we wiped with paper. when i went into the city, we used water (clean running water--not communal dish).

in the states, i've noticed that about 60-70% of the people do NOT wash their hands after using the restroom... i've never taken time to note race... either way its ghastly disgusting. ever been to bars on a weekend night? probably 8/10. reallly reallly sick shit.

This thread is pretty interesting. Before I pass judgement on any cultures, I think about the fact that most dudes even here in the states DO NOT wash their hands with soap after taking a piss. And in my experience, at least 1 in 5 people I see do not wash their hands with soap after taking a crap. In a country where we have the resources to allow every public restroom to be equipped with a sink with running water, hand soap, and hand towels/dryers, we have huge percentages of poeple who do not take time for basic hygene. People who, after holding their weiners or wiping their asses, go on to do things like eat popcorn or shake hands with others without even giving it a second thought.

Just imagine what American hygene would be like if this were a 3rd world country.

Wrong. I'm not a westerner. I'm, too, an Asian who grew up in Asia. My country is pretty much devoloped now but before that, when my country was as poor as Camobodia/Laos, people did not wipe their ass with hands. For 5000 years of my country's history, they've used something like a rope or leaf. I've been to other underdeveloped nations and they do not use freaking hands although their living condition is like monkeys. How much do you know about India than Indians who lived there? 300 restaurants in a month??? Umm...ok.... Being in India a few times make you an more expert than real Indians? I think NASA need to send you to outer space as you'd soon find out secrets of universe.

Out of curiosity, what is your country? It damnwell better be the cleanest civilization on the face of the planet with the way you are crusading against Indians.

I don't think you'll find many people defending not washing your hands after using the restroom. It's disgusting and there's no excuse for it, just like smearing feces all over your hands is disgusting and there is no excuse for it.

I'd guess that the proposed 3rd world American hygiene would still be better than people smearing feces all over their hands.

Saying that smearing feces on your hand is disgusting isn't a crusade against Indians unless you're very insecure.

Digging sh1t is far worse than using TP and not washing hand after it. Using TP and not washing hand is wrong and Digging sh1t is worse than that. Why don't you asswipers admit that it's dirty????
