Question Do smartphone SoC's come with integrated WiFi chips ?

Not actively following smartphone SoCs but I think the PHY(which should logically use the most power) should be integrated while the MAC and antennas should be separate. Happy to be corrected on this.

i always thought the wifi and 5g was handled together by QUALCOMM in all smart phones, and the arm chip handled everything else.
This is why hawei wanted to get into the market to outrank QUALCOMM and siemens, but the entire political china thing wrecked there grand scheme.

Pretty sure most Android phones use Broadcom wifi. For instance Nexus 6P uses SD810 with built-in Qualcomm modem, but a Broadcom wifi chip. I imagine Qualcomm is probably trying to take the wifi/BT market away from them and increase their BOM share in the Android market, so maybe that's what this is about.
