Do really young kids always stare at you?

Young as in under 5 years of age.

I don't know if it's just me or what but it happens to me all the time and I generally try my best to avoid eye contact with young children because of it.
But I was at restaurant this morning with my friends and one of them noticed this toddler in a high chair who was turned around as far as she could to look at me.
And then later grocery shopping, i wws in the checkout lane and a baby in the shopping cart in front was staring at me the whole time.

I guess kids just stare but I never see them staring at anything else and it kinda creeps me out. It's like I'm the antichrist and I don't know it yet lol.

Do you have red hair by chance? Little kids like red hair for some reason. Well mostly babies I find. They sometimes try to grab my hair too if in proximity. It's funny.

My son (7 months) stares at people. He will turn as far around as he can, and then crane his neck as far as he can, just to get a good look. He'll keep doing it to the same person throughout the meal. In his case, however, that person will usually be very animated with him, smile at him, wave at him, etc. Sometimes, however, he picks the people that really don't want to be bothered. They don't look, they don't smile, etc. Maybe he is just curious.

Yes they stare but only when I forget to lock their mother's bedroom door. I don't make eye contact though. That would probably leave some sort of emotional damage requiring therapy. I usually save eye contact for the cat or dog.

I have a bald head. Kids stare me frequently. I just smile at them for a few seconds, and they usually smile back.

I think its great.

I can make them cry just by staring at them if I make an angry face.

Or, I can make silly faces and they laugh.

If I dont make any interesting facial expressions, then they might stare for a bit until they get bored.

Yup! Mostly because I stand 6'9" tall. My 16 month old daughter is totally used to my height which is good and bad. It will have a great effect on her future boyfriends however. Won't even need to pull the gun-cleaning dad routine.
